HELLO THERE! MY NAME IS LAUREN ROBINSON.
I discovered the immense value of professional doula support during my little one’s birth. Pregnant and buried under graduate school work, the researching and planning we had hoped to do was proving exceptionally difficult. Enter our doula. Not only did she provide the evidence-based information we sought, but she believed in, encouraged, and reassured us. Her support made all the difference in our experience – and I discovered my calling.
I’ve always been drawn to helping others. Through my parenting circles and own experience, I have learned just how overwhelming and isolating it can be one minute, then full of the deepest love and joy you’ve ever known the next.
You deserve the support you need to make informed decisions and to confidently do what you already know how to do — to give birth and to parent in a way which best fits your needs and values.
CERTIFIED DTI BIRTH & POSTPARTUM DOULA
Feeling unsure about the decisions you need to make? Through my training with DTI as a birth and postpartum doula, I can help you explore your options with my compassionate, mindful approach. Wondering about how you’ll meet labor? I will work with you and your loved ones prenatally and during labor to provide hands-on and emotional support. Planning for your fourth trimester? I’ll be there too, making sure you get snacks, sleep, and showers so you can heal, bond, and be the parent you want to be. As your doula, I’ll be there with you every step of the way, helping you create a deeper, more connected birthing and parenting experience.
I’m here for you, ready to help you and yours THRIVE throughout your journey.

I love to learn & enjoy life in community
When I’m not studying or working, I love to cook & share meals with family and friends. I can also be found curled up in a comfy chair with a delicious cup of tea (or coffee) and a good book, that is if I’m not chasing my little one. On our free weekends, you can find our family at a local farmers market or enjoying other outdoor adventures around the Durham - Chapel Hill Triangle.
